The following provides a detailed description of the position of Member Services Specialist.  Actual duties performed may vary slightly.  The Member Services Specialist is primarily responsible for performing Member Service Center duties and creating an outstanding and exceptional experience for our full-service fitness center members and guests.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Present a professional, passionate and knowledgeable front at all times.
  • Listens to member complaints & assists in resolving problems.
  • Meet daily with management to identify needs, opportunities and objectives.
  • Maintain outstanding product knowledge.
  • Assist members in making purchase decisions relative to Elevate apparel, accessories, and supplements.
  • Participate in all assigned management activities including conference calls, meetings, and developmental activities.
  • Provide administrative support as necessary and as assigned.
  • Stay up-to-date on Company pricing and promotion schedule.
  • Maintain information on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff, and policies.
  • Assist in ensuring that the gym is clean and equipment in good condition.
  • Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to handle challenging customer issues with patience, tact, and professionalism.
  • Must embody the company mission through leadership, personal expectations and lifestyle choices relative to fitness and wellness.
  • Must exhibit outstanding written and oral communication skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENT

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Elevate Fitness’s membership sales systems.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness/ability to learn software programs used by the club.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of company mission, regional goals and missions, and how his/her facility will contribute in these areas.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of local competitors, future competitors and all relevant information pertaining to these entities.
  • Exhibit a superior sense of customer service at all times.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel) and cloud computing (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) as well as personal access to required programs.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common business-related documents such as Membership and Service Agreements.  Ability to respond verbally and in writing to common inquiries or complaints from customers, management or staff.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Must hold a current CPR/AED Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, but not required.
